NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
Casey Duggan It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
MovieFreak2403 Terrifier! What a fun ride has been. I found out about it just a few months ago, then I read a little bit about Art the Clown, and then decided to watch this creepy, gory and somewhat funny movie, and if you watch it from that perspective you can enjoy it. Of course, I'm talking about people who are used to the movie gore, because you have plenty of that here. It reminds me a bit of the Hobo with a Shotgun (2011 Grindhouse masterpiece with Rutger Hauer) like it belongs to the same world, but in another town. There is no backstory, reasoning or anything logical really. That's why it creates its own tone and atmosphere, of course, we seen the plot hundreds of times before, so there is nothing original and new here, but still I like the way it pays the homage to the 80s slasher flicks, but together with a few newer grindhouse flicks, it's keeping this "new retro trend", that started with Death Proof (2007 Tarantino's carsploitation). What I value about a movie is not a fear or gore, but it's that particular tone that sets like I mentioned before. The clown is creepy as much as the one can be for the audience with a general fear of clowns, Art can be terrifying because of his menacing appearance and sadistic preferences. But in a way, this movie is more fun than frightening. If you want to watch really a frightening movie, then watch Martyrs (2008 French horror), that is one of the scariest movies by my opinion, it involves a real emotion and its fear composition is much more mature. If you are a big fan of modern grindhouse, or you want to explore it, but at the same time, you have stomach for it, then this can be 90 minutes of fun for you. Like I already mentioned it's not for the faint of heart or the people who are not used to the movie gore.
cubicyapper This is very much a throwback to slashers in the 80s with a Grindhouse twist and at some points in the film it does tend to feel a little exploitive but if watched by a viewer who likes things like Saw and Hostel for example you will likely enjoy Terrifier.
ArchieIsCool This film has the scariest clown I have ever seen, he is disgusting, evil, sadistic with no empathy for what he does. When he just stares at people he's creepy as hell and then that smile so repulsive and wicked, he kills his victims smirking away like a demented demon you so want the victims to get away and that clown face gets his comeuppance but no of course not. By the end of the film I feel is his face his real face as it seems to look so real how can it be just makeup and a false nose with his bloody teeth. At the end he shoots himself but in the morgue awakes like Jason vorhees to kill the mortician so part 2will be made?
dominicsalgado Let me just start out by saying this was an incredible horror movie with lots of blood and gore with great effects for the low budget. I recommend this film for anyone who loves gore and can handle lots of gross effects!!!
