Details

When Ethan arrives at the airport just in time to declare his undying love for his girlfriend, love appears to have conquered all. The scene, however, is really the ending of Ethan's novel, which his agent calls "unrealistic." Ethan soon meets a waitress, Jesse, and falls in love with her despite her growing devotion to Troy, a charming businessman. But the line between reality and fiction becomes increasingly blurred.

Sharkflei Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Freeman This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Reno Rangan The best thing about the film is the title. It got me curious, then I decided to give it a try to learn what's that mean. Love triangle is something what I anticipated, but to know how good it is going to be was my eagerness. I did not know anybody from it, well, except Alyssa Milano. It was a low cost film, but production was good. The opening was decent, so expected a fine development and conclusion. Then did I disappointed with it? Well, a little! It got me. At one point I predicted it entirely wrong. I realised that only during the final few minutes. Yep, the actors were good and so the fairly fitting ending, but for some people that might look like a grand twist. I think the writing, including dialogues and direction was better than I expected. Feels like it is an ordinary version of 'Ruby Sparks'. If you had liked that, probably you would like it as well, though it is not a fantasy.Whatever you thought of it, the last 5-10 minutes makes you change your stance, that's how it is designed. So it is not a best romance- comedy, but a watchable one for being slightly original. I would surely give a thumbs up to you to go for it, only if you say you won't try to predict it, but try to watch it like the normal people. In my opinion, that's how it to be watched for the maximum benefit.6/10
london_scorpio When I read the synopsis for this film I thought it sounded like a good romance. A film about a girl who has been unlucky in love then finds herself having to choose between two men. The film follows the character of Jessie (a waitress) who meets Ethan (a writer). He's struggling to get any of his manuscripts published and is about to give up on his dream of becoming a novelist until he meets Jessie. She inspires him to never give up on his dream but whilst Jessie's inspiring Ethan to write, she's also dating Troy (a man who works in advertising). The film follows Jessie as she simultaneously dates both men whilst keeping it a secret from each other. We see her struggle as she tries to decide which guy is right for her.Seeing her cheat on Ethan (who appeared to perfect in so many ways) was frustrating. My heart was breaking for him as she continued to see Troy behind his back. She seemed to have no conscience as she pinned the two men against each other - unable to decide who she preferred. Then just when you think she's going to do the right thing and come clean to Ethan there is a shock twist that I did not see coming - a twist that completely transforms the film! It goes from being a simple romantic tale with a frustrating leading lady to something else entirely. And to think I spent most of the film hating Jessie for cheating on Ethan...
lozlazza What can I say, colour me impressed! Having only seen this movie recently, I was going in thinking it would be another predictable rom-com. Yes it did have an ending that I wanted and yes it was a little slow at times but relatable. I related to the story. Personally I sometimes want to be somebody else... The characters were good to watch. The guys were nice eye-candy, always a good formula. I've always liked Alyssa Milano from my childhood days. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. SPOILER.....The twist at the end was fab. I'm inspired too. I highly recommend this to those who want a twist to the traditional rom-coms.
date-150-995954 This isn't a bad movie... there's just something wrong with it. Is it the writing? That it's the whitest cast and group of extras I've ever seen? The "twist" is kind of... INCREDIBLY LAME. And yet, somehow (I think because the cast is very likable) it's not totally bad.And I hate to think it's because it's written by a Mormon but the whole conflict and motivating drive of this movie basically revolves around breeding small humans. THE WHOLE THING. And it's supposed to be this mystery to Christopher Gorham's character but he finds out and doesn't care and the tiny conflict is just magically gone so they can get married and I guess... adopt? (Oh and what's the deal with her getting a real job, deciding to move away and then not taking it? Falling in love is great and all, but doesn't she need to eat? Most book authors are not very wealthy.) Also, there should have been more depth or something to the brother-sister relationships. If two grown single people live together, they wouldn't be so easy breezy with each other. There would at least be teasing or fighting or roommate issues. No one gets along like that... It's creepy. (But I love Jonathan from Buffy and his little side plot was way more fun. Actually he was the only funny part of it.) But for all its faults, the featured actors are adorable and the clothes are cute. Of course, with most movies, that shouldn't be part of the review. It's not bad for a rainy Saturday streaming on Netflix. But it's just kind of off.
