Interesteg What makes it different from others?
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Jemima It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
adonis98-743-186503 A bored married couple is surprised to learn that they are both assassins hired by competing agencies to kill each other. Mr. & Mrs. Smith is funny and quite action packed spy, assassin spoof that anyone could really enjoy. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a terrific chemistry together and it makes sense that a while later they got married, Vince Vaughn was also pretty good and mostly a bit of the comedic relief. The cinematography was pretty great especially the big shootout in the end and how the camera was rolling was truly terrific. Definitely a great flick. (10/10)
demakhatib-85882 Best casting in movie history!! I just want a sequel and another one.. And great acting
Davis P Mr and Mrs Smith is a fun energetic action movie that revolves around a married couple of 5 years. John and Jane Smith are really both spies but neither of them knows that the other is a spy, they both keep that part of their lives completely secret. I was happy with the casting of Brad Pitt as John and with Angelina Jolie as Jane. They had good on screen chemistry, both when it was supposed to be romantic and when it was them going at it trying to kill one another. It makes sense that the chemistry was so good once the news of affair broke. Poor Jennifer Aniston.... Back to the movie. The action scenes are very well done, they have everything you could ever ask for from an action film. The love scenes are well done too, well lit, and a mix between being hot and romantic. The writing accomplishes what the film wanted to accomplish. And in my opinion that's all you can really ask for. I mean sure the movie could've been better, and I've seen better more entertaining action films with romantic leads. But overall not every movie is gonna knock it out of the ballpark, and truth be told I didn't expect this one to do that. Since I didn't have really high expectations going in, I was overall pretty satisfied. 7/10 for Mr and Mrs Smith.
classicsoncall They're a lovely couple, aren't they? I'm watching this a couple weeks after Angelina Jolie made major headlines by her decision to divorce Brad Pitt, take the kids and split. I don't follow these celebrity trials and tribulations, but could anyone doubt that would happen someday? It just seems par for the course.Well this plays out like it might have been a warm-up for the divorce settlement. I have to say, their little marital spat in the movie was handled rather creatively. Set up as bait between rival government agencies to take each other out via the extermination route, John (Pitt) and Jane (Jolie) Smith display remarkable creativity in choice of tactics and methods. One major gaffe by Johnny though when he missed catching the base charge on the primary cable at Jane's company. Heck, everyone knows that's where you're supposed to look first.Hey, it's over the top and mindless, but at the same time it's a fun flick if you go for this kind of stuff. I don't know if either star ever looked better on screen, and Vince Vaughn was priceless in his role as the calm and collected buddy of Johnny-boy. I think they could have played down Janey's number of kills though, three hundred and twelve sounded like a bit of a stretch. With a hint of assassination tango, this is the kind of film you can watch and just let your mind wander without too much strain, so go ahead and give it a shot. Figuratively speaking of course.
