Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Leidlieder When I first saw the thumbnail for this on youtube, I was intrigued. Being a fan of this game series since the original, I was very interested in seeing a new live action take on the characters. Not one second of this video disappointed me. I still watch it today. I was already a fan of Michael Jai White and this short only further cemented that, as well as made me a fan of Ian Anthony Dale, though his character's portrayal is so much better in the web series that followed this. Most of the negative reviews for this will be die-hard zealots no doubt, claiming sacrilege for the handling of the source material. I, however, applaud this short film for what it is: a short MK film for fans made by a fan. If you haven't yet, see it.
Terryfan Being that this a short film and normally I don't always go for short films but this one I'll be glad to make an exception.Mortal Kombat: Rebirth is mostly a short film that Director Kevin Tancharoen made to get funding for a reboot Mortal Kombat film but in a different style. Now many fans will be interest to see how they change the stories of these characters that they played as.The film started with Jackson Briggs (Played by Michael Jai White) going into a interview room with a man in the shadows, an assassin named Hanzo Hasashi aka Scorpion (Played by Ian Anthony Dale) as Briggs explain why Hanzo is in custody of the police.Sonya Blade (Played by Jeri Ryan) appears to help Hanzo with a offer he couldn't refuse. Now what makes this film special is the way it is filmed. The film does a great job with using the lighting and settings. It feels like it was inspired by Batman. The story of the film is interesting as if this would be a good interesting reboot of the films like a origin story. There is a tense fight scene between Baraka and Johnny Cage, the timing of the fight is very good.Acting level in this film is very good as well each actor they cast with Jeri Ryan, Ian Anthony Dale and Michael Jai White doing a very well done job as their characters Sonya Blade, Scorpion and Briggs.Overall if you are curious about this film check it out even Mortal Kombat fans will say it is good enough to make a film a full one.I give Mortal Kombat: Rebirth an 8 out of 10GET OVER HERE!
mikeyvwj Everyone who said this was retarded need to get their head out of the nerdy fantasy world of their's. This realistic based MK movie looks bad-ass. If you didn't see, Sub Zero's face was flashed for 1 sec during the video. And he looked bad-ass. Not some idiot walking around with dirty ice tanks... And Scorpion as a top assassin is also bad-ass, Legend of Zelda's Link's Hookshot, but with blood. They even gave Scopion his famous white eyes. So yeah, this movie could be really bad-ass, or bad. So everyone will have to wait and see in the future how the movie will come out. For now you don't need to being saying this was retarded you retard! I'm sure if you directed a movie based on a video game it would totally the best movie ever! So why don't you go and do just that?
Crazy-T This 8 minute short movie is 10 times better than the two stupid originals combined.Mortal Kombat brought into the real world. It worked for Batman and it definitely works here. If you haven't seen it yet go to you tube and watch it now! Michael Jai White is the perfect fit for Jax. The characters are more horrifying than they were in the video game. This is the movie I wish I saw when I was 12. Mortal Kombat was built on blood and gore and that is something that both the original movies lacked. In fact I don't remember seeing any blood in either movie. They should've been rated G.Mortal Kombat Rebirth would be perfect for the die hard fans who grew up playing the video games back in the early 90's.I hope to God that this is made into a full length movie.
