Listonixio Fresh and Exciting
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
alexanderdavies-99382 This Hollywood movie, based upon the immensely popular computer game, is one of the more successful attempts at cashing in on a popular culture. "Mortal Kombat" features several of the characters from the computer game and they translate well onto the big screen. The approach in the making of this movie, is to make the violence as comic strip as possible. In addition, both the setting and the martial arts action are given a fantasy look. Some of the scenes tend to feature some crazy s*** regarding the above. You instantly realise that such things could never happen like that in real life. I have no idea how skilled the cast were in the field of self defence but the choreography comes thick and fast. The script clearly wasn't going to include much in the way of character depth and why should it? Apart from the numourous fight scenes, I like the slight references to the masterpiece, "Enter the Dragon." The said tournament taking place on an island that has no official existence, the leading hero trying to be Bruce Lee etc. The acting isn't the best I have ever seen but the one who plays Johnny Cage is quite a laugh. One of the Carradine brothers makes a cameo appearance but is completely wasted. A hugely entertaining martial arts fest and one to remember.
cilaszero As a Video game adaption film this movie is by far the best Video game adaption film of all time,Mortal kombat tried to fit everything from the 1st video game & a little from the 2nd into the film & it did it very nicely, the fight scene's are straight to the point not much dialog & that's the way it should be. As Far as this film goes it is the best video game adaption film i've ever seen the work that went into making it & the great cast was solid. As for the what came after it the sequel was terrible
Minahzur Rahman It's a good film full of action and fights. The film is based of the popular video game series, and they did a good job at that. It could've been even more better had the movie been more than two hours instead, so it would've allowed more insight into each of the characters introduced in this film. Also, there was a sequel afterwards which wasn't really required, so that adds to my point that this Mortal Kombat film should've been a lot longer because the film was already good, and they could've even introduced more characters there rather than in the second movie. I gave it a 5 because of some of these reasons I mentioned above, but I could've quite easily gave it a 7 or even 8 had the film been a bit longer with more characters introduced, and with a much better story. The story in this film was fine, but not too interesting that will keep you attentive. Like I said, the film was only good for its fights.
austinkunkle Even though the movie will never reach up to the movie,I still thought Mortal combat was a good movie with lots of good fights and tournaments. The characters look really good developed, the effects are a little cheesy though, but it's still not a bad movie. It's not the best movie, but it's certainly better than the second one. With the sequel, they definitely took it a little too far with it's effects and the fights. The fights were really long and really and somewhat exhausting. Other than it's unoriginal sequel, this film was pretty good.Even though in the second one they were finished with mortal combat,I don't think they would've made another sequel anyway.
