Megamind To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.
Suman Roberson It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
DustinRahksi I'm torturing myself, I really am. I got to stop watching this stuff, even though it's my duty to rant about it. The film is soft core porn, much like Barely Legal. There is at least 12 sex scenes, all of which feature a bunch of guys who can't get a girl, yet they all have lots of girls. Yeah it doesn't make a lot of sense and is completely unrealistic, not that I know what realistic is anyway. I can tell you right now that this was made by some sex depraved loser that never got lucky in the real, so he had to exploit women on film, and exploiting is a no-no in my book. What else is there to say besides frat boys make God-awful movies, because they don't know SH-t about cinema. It's quite evident this is only appealing to young teen males that don't have any morals and don't understand the true meaning of filth like this. Or they probably just don't care. This is just a porno, no story, no acting, nothing that is required to be a film. Hell, porno's are more well made than this is.In short, I wish I could physically destroy this film from existence. I don't get why women are so okay with being exploited, it has to have something to do with how screwed up society is. Maybe I'll never know.
Bla After having watched half of the movie, I simply closed the media player and returned the rented title back to the store the very next morning. Where to begin...The title itself foreshadows eroticism which in most cases means no plot, poor acting and lots of sexual scenes. And that is exactly what "Milf" is all about. The story seems to have been written by a high school student since the major part of the movie is about sex and showing explicit material and the dialogs between the characters are old and cheesy. Even the plot itself is, well, plot less, and all has been done before (single guys, no luck with women, bullied by "popular" kids, then all of a sudden WHAM, they're laid and feel as if in heaven). Yawn. The acting is the worst thing about this movie. I don't know what they were thinking with Philip Marlatt (Anthony) Molinee Green (Lori) because their acting is god-awful! They can't fake emotions and you never know whether they are surprised, confused, happy... their expression is always the same. It's like watching a cheap high school play.I seriously don't know what were they thinking when filming this...
Dan Jablons OK, I will admit that the title had me, just because it's outrageous. But then I watched the movie, and I loved it even more.First, I will grant that there is a bit of a formula here, but so what. Movies like these are great fun, and if you are willing to go along for the ride, you'll have fun with it.The setups are fun and original. The cast is wonderful, and the whole experience is just a blast. One of the standouts in this movie is definitely Jamie Bernadette. She is cute, funny, and does a great job with what she is given. This is the kind of actress that you know will go places after this movie.I hope all of you get the chance to see this movie. It's a hoot!
Paul Magne Haakonsen Wow, amazing that this actually made it to see the light of day.First off, despite being labeled as a comedy, this movie didn't make me laugh once. There were a couple of smirks, but that was about it. This movie was compared to the "American Pie" movies, but it doesn't reach that level at any point, not even by a long shot. The best thing about this movie was without a doubt, the performance put on by Jack Cullison in the role of Brandon Murphy. He, and he alone, carried this movie and made it worth sitting through. I think he actually might just make a name for himself on the screen.Sure, there were parts of the movie that had potential, but they failed to come through with enough punch to light up the room. There were scenes that had potential for laughs. Also, the movie suffered from a horrible dialogue. It was painful to listen to it at times, but people at least did the best with what they had. I think, if the writers had actually put more effort, heart and soul into the dialogue, the movie would have been so much better, and had a lot more appeal. Now, the worst thing about the movie had to be the performance put on by Philip Marlatt in the role of Anthony Reese. Oh my god! I literally wanted to claw my eyes out. It was like watching a hand-puppet show.Supporting roles by Joseph Booton and Ramon Camacho were also good. They had the funniest roles in the movie, being all quirky and nerdy, but still managing to get with the MILFs.As for the scenes and the settings, they worked quite well, and were actually some of the nicer things that came together and worked as a unity for the movie. For a teen comedy, this movie failed. And there was way too much senseless nudity in the movie for my liking. I usually enjoy a good teen comedy or two, but this one was a drag. There are lots of better and funnier movies in this genre. Not everything in this movie is bad, but when you sit down to watch a movie of this genre you except to be entertained and to get some laughs; "MILF" didn't fully deliver to that extend.
