Beginthebeguine It a cute film for the tots and the DVD might be a good investment for their DVD library. The story seemed so familiar to me and then I realized that it was the same plot from the John Hughes script for 1987's "Some Kind of Wonderful" directed by Howard Deutch and starring Eric Stolz and Mary Stuart Masterson as Keith and Watts who have the same relationship as Marmaduke and the female best friend while he pines for that other....b..(I won't say it). The human part of the film is dull, and I imagine it will also be for the children. Fortunately, The director does not focus on that even though the supporting cast has William H Macy who plays the role of an owner of an organic pet food company that brings the family from KC to OC. My personal favorite scene is the surfing dogs.

ryguy815 Marmaduke. Did they really have to make this movie? The world could definitely have without this movie ever even being thought of. But Hollywood just had to go out and make another truly awful movie that they thought would just rake in the cash. But in the end it blew up in their faces because the movie ended up being a box office bomb. I'm really ticked off at the trailer for this movie though, because it actually made the movie look good and it made me want to see it. But every single little thing about this movie ended up being horrible. You see, I usually enjoy these movies that are based on comic strips and old TV shows. But this one was just bad. Also, both the acting and voice acting were terrible too. So really all that I'm saying is that this is one sad,sad excuse for a movie.

Vaughan A Davies (brutalkid1997) Why high school it won't be funny and it was not funny its was barley funny and George Lopez was awful at voice acting and this movie is just awful i liked it a little but its too ...... just too dumb and all they really did was copy a simple plot of high school rejects its annoying and dumb.Also animals are very bad at surfing so how did a dog who is scared of water go on a surf board and go though a massive wave and the kids dad did not look even worried when they lost vision of him.all though the ending was smarter then the entire movie the rest of the film lets it down animals fighting not the kinda thing you want kids seeing.also the kids did OK i guess at acting the parents were not very good and the way the animals speak they movement of the mouths are really bad they go the wrong way and wrong movement I've seen games with better talking faces / mouths overall this movie is dull and boring 3/10

kylehaines96 People just need to calm down and enjoy movies for what they are. is this a very cheesy kids movie? yes. but for some unknown reason i found it to be good and entertaining. now i will agree with everyone and say there are one to many puns in this movie and they all have to do with dogs. but other then that this film has a very talented voice cast. Owen Wilson, Emma stone, keifer Sutherland, Marlon wayons, Damon wayans Jr, and Sam Elliot. i know fergie is in this movie but after the black eyed peas remade and ruined (i've had) the time of my life from dirty dancing and ruined the super bowl 45 halftime show i consider her to have no talent. if you want to be entertained for an hour and a half then check out Marmaduke Rated PG for some rude humor and language 1hr 28min/88min**1/2/****
