Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

SanteeFats This is what you would expect from a Nick movie. After all it is a kids network!! Ciara Bravo gets top billing in this film as Hurricane Meg. A teen whose family has dealt with a witches curse for a hundred years or so. Her whole family is part of the curse but over the years they have adapted and learned to deal with it at least semi-successfully. When the family's house falls down for the fourth time in a year (!) they return to the town where the curse took place. Their Grandfather still lives there and they go to live with him for awhile. Here Meg learns how to break the curse. She has to find a specific coin and give it to a descendant of the witch. Turns out the boy she goes to the dance with is a descendant and so she gives him the coin. She then learns that it did not break the curse but transferred it back to the other family. She realizes that she and her family can deal with this curse a lot better than some family newly cursed. She gets the boy to give her the coin back so the curse returns to her and the family. Everything then works out as expected and things return to the status quo. She does get a new best friend and a boyfriend out of the whole thing though.

minecraftnoobgirl68 I don't really recommend this movie to anyone that hates chliches.It really doesn't suit me but it might suit kids ranging from 6-9. 10 year olds might think this is childish since at age 10 they start to mature. My question is.. Okay what I don't get is when a woman gets married to a man they get THEIR last name. So that means when the girl marries the boy she'll NO LONGER be a Murphy. Is the curse still with her or does she have a nice life?Ending:She transfers the curse to her boyfriend she gets it back the girl and boys cousin become friends. They go to a canyon vacation (with curse) and all live CURSED FOR LIFE!

chubbydave Whether you like this movie depends solely on whether or not you like Ciara Bravo.First, the movie; it's a silly movie about a family (appropriately named Murphy - as in Murphy's Law everything that can go wrong will) who are cursed with bad luck. The family has managed to live with it. The father has a career as an appliance tester - he can easily cause any appliance to malfunction. The little brother is known for his devastating skateboard wipeouts and is semi- famous from youtube videos. But Ciara's character hasn't made peace with the curse, and she is determined to somehow overturn the curse. Needless to say, her attempts to overturn the curse result in a series of comical mishaps.She also has a love interest in the story which to me is kind of creepy because she's so young.But the main character is Ciara Bravo, and this movie depends on her. To me, she's very likable. In fact, I'm hoping she gets a few more major roles before she turns 20 and turns into the next LIndsay or Amanda.

johnnyboykid7654 Everyone knows that many Nickelodeon movies are not good, but this one, this one was actually a really great film! The plot is good, the actors are good, Everything is good! Of course there was some flaws, but other than that it was amazing! I would recommend you to watch this. The Plot goes like this, In 1914, Tommy Murphy (Burkely Duffield) is overjoyed when Caitlin O'Leary (Andrea Brooks) agrees to dance with him in the town festival despite all rumors that she is a witch. The event is ruined when Violet (Jessa Danielson) surprises him by showing her feelings for Tommy by kissing him in front of his date. Tommy tries to keep Caitlin from running off, only for him to accidentally tear her dress and humiliate her by revealing her underwear. This proves to be too much for Caitlin to take, and being a witch, she curses Tommy and all of his descendants with incredibly bad luck. 100 years later, his great-great-granddaughter Meg Murphy (Ciara Bravo) is desperate to end the family's curse. Together with her brother Charlie (Jacob Bertrand), Meg finds Tommy's diary and works out that to get rid of the curse she needs to give Tommy's "lucky coin" to a descendant of Caitlin. They successfully manage to steal their great- great grandfather Tommy's lucky coin from the Harvest Hills Historical Museum. Afterwards, Meg realizes that Ivy Murray (Elena Kampouris), a mean girl at school that picks on her, is a descendant of the O'Leary family and decides to give her the coin; however, her crush, Brett (Jack Griffo), asks her to the festival and she realizes that he's a descendant of Caitlin as well (being Ivy's cousin). At the dance she gives him the lucky coin, which ends up transferring the curse to his family. Meg is horrified when she discovers what has happened and arrives at his house to witness his house getting ransacked by an angry monkey. Ivy answers the door, and upon learning that the bad luck came from Meg giving Brett the coin, grows angry. Meg manages to convince Ivy that she never intended for this to happen and Ivy realizes she's always been mean to Meg since her cursed accidents effected her as well but realizes that it's not Meg's fault. The two race to the closing ceremony, where Brett gives Meg the coin back. She then almost falls over, but is saved by Brett, who then kisses her. Afterwards, it's shown that Meg and Ivy are now best friends and she and Brett are dating. Meg goes to science camp after all and accidentally invents a potion that grows hair on bald heads. Meg realizes that her curse is what makes her special. She puts back Tommy's diary with the coin after reading in the last part that Tommy, due to his bad luck, meets his beautiful wife at the hospital and throws his coin into the fountain causing a flood. Even so he believes that it's the attitude that counts. The film ends with Meg and her family leaving to visit the Grand Canyon and end up causing more bad luck, with Ivy and Brett running for their lives, but laughing about it. (Got This From Wikipedia)
