Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
x_united There's few movies that I really enjoyed watching, and this is definitely one of them. I thought it was charming, clever and cleverly funny (not Marvel "so called" funny) and it has some of the best quotes. the movie was on my To Watch-List for a long time, and I just watched it '2018', and oh my !!! I regret not watching it sooner. {at some point I felt sad about a particular person, but the ending was satisfying}
ehyritaflores This movie is f marvelous and I think the key behind this history is the undeniable chemistry between Luce (Lena) and Rachel (Piper), they gave me goosebumps like all the time they were together. Beautiful characters and most of all beautiful history about love. if we are lucky enough we can truly live this once in a lifetime.
DustinRahksi This film is trash, one of the worst I've seen in a while. It's messages and morals are messed up. Men are horribly portrayed in this film, for second I thought it was made by a feminist. Ned is dominated by his viscous wife, cooper is a shallow sex fiend, and heck is used and tossed aside in a millisecond. The woman on the other hand are portrayed as whimsical, with whimsical music playing as they are committing adultery, while the man is emotionally distressed at home. I hate Rachel she somehow becomes an instant lesbian, and flirts with another woman on her wedding day, then continues to go out with her while her husbands at home. Heck is backed into a corner, and is forced to leave her, she doesn't even give two sh-ts about his feelings and the amount of pain he is going through. She just runs off to another woman with whimsical music playing, while Heck cries on a rooftop. This film made me think back on films, every time a woman cheats on a man, it is deemed okay, but if a male character were to cheat on a woman, he is deemed as the most vile human on earth and should die.This film sucks, it's a real " you go girl, show that man whose boss" type of film.
jakryk-1 SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER With a different set-up, I would have given this movie a much higher rating. I am not a lesbian, but I am pretty sure you don't just suddenly realize that you are a lesbian. You may be in denial that you are a lesbian, but you most likely have unfulfilling relationships with men. If Rachel had shown any hesitancy in her marriage or if she shared that she didn't think she felt the overwhelming love for Heck that she should have, then it would have made sense. Instead it looks like Rachel was deeply, madly in love with Heck and thrilled to be getting married to him, and then she saw Luce and suddenly she was a lesbian? She had no inkling that she preferred girls to guys? That just ruined the movie for me. Like I said, a different set-up and this would have been a great movie.
