pratyush-03848 The Indian Express reported that this film is a modern day version of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. This is a complete lie as this film was a waste of time and money and made me upset when I left the theaters. The characters are nothing like Raj and Simran and the story is not anything special that can keep you enjoyed in your seats. Basically Varun Dhawan plays a guy who falls in love with a girl, played by Alia Bhatt. The only problem is that she is set to married an NRI. How Dhawan tries to win Bhatt's heart forms the plot. The characters are quite annoying to watch and the movie shows no sign of paying a tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Apart from the story, some of the songs such as Samjhwan, Lucky Tu Lucky Me, Saturday Saturday and D se Dance are great to listen to and get your feet tapping a little. Forget what the critics said as this, in my opinion, is not that great of a film. Avoid at all costs.

Mystery11 This is really bad. Same stupid story from a century ago. The plot is predictable and you can tell what will happen in the end from the beginning. This is a complete duplicate of other movies from the part of writing department. The dialogues are way too cheesy. Unless you want to see some skin of Alia, it's pure waste of time. Girl is getting married. Then falls in love with another. Family doesn't agree. They beat up the new guy. Blah blah blah... In the end, lover gets the girl. Looks like Bollywood is running out of ideas. Save your money and just listen/watch songs in you tube. Songs are pretty good though so that's the only thing good in this movie. Not recommended.

baized shuvo The concept was so poor.Just waste of time. To see first five minute one can determine the finish part easily.Except these the story was too boring and The character of the hero is not perfect.I meant he was like playboy who played with girls, did illegal job, drunk, smoke. We can not imagine this type of person as a hero.What young generation can learn from it?. This movie can misguided people.We have to remember that Good thing is good.You don't need to be a perfect guy. But you need to be good person not like Humpty.Except these the character of Humtys father was not clear.The "sign Sahab" could be more aggressive.After all It was an horror experience. Thank You.

Shivam Murari HUPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIA is a typical Dharma Productions movie. Fat Indian weddings, mehenga designer lehengas, meaningless interrupting songs and a lot, A LOT, of melodrama.Eight minutes into the film and we have seen a boy selling question papers for kisses from girls and the female lead convincing her Dad to buy a lehenga on a dining table from which her divorced sister gets up and leaves because she chose a wrong man for herself. The guy who goes around flirting and kissing girls becomes emotional at a tragic DDLJ scene and feels guilty on a traditional lecture given by the female lead.The whole group and the father of the boy start making contributions for a completely strange girl.The love that was in the form of a bud until late, without any further development shows an intense bed scene. I mean, how can we not have a bed scene, it has been one full hour! The minor amount of logic they were making in the first half goes on decreasing exponentially in the second hour. The climax is unbelievably stupid. There is no spoiler in this film, we have seen it all in Dilwaale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and all such Blockbusters.Varun Dhawan famous for his flawed imitation of loud actors like Govinda was heavily annoying in the few starting scenes. Alia Bhatt who had been a surprise packet in the last two movies was strictly average in this flick. The supporting cast, however, is pretty strong.Music is below average. Direction and cinematography needed much more attention. Editor must be fired quickly.The movie, however illogical and irritating it may be at times, does have it spots of tickles. Despite brutally filled with clichés, the movie has its cheerful moments. The chemistry between the lead pair is warm(if not sizzling). You may give this movie a miss but you wouldn't be wasting your time much if you have nothing else to do. A generous five-and-a-half-out-of- ten for the rare freshness.
