Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Hvalross "Slapstick comedy on acid" Spot on description. This is a deranged, perverted and absolutely hilarious little film that I stumbled over looking for more hysterics from Rik and Ade, done in wonderfully bad taste! Of course, if you're a "Bottom" fan, this is a must see, the main difference being this one is even ruder and over-the-top than the original series. Half of the jokes are under the belt, the rest being either completely silly or just plain offensive (and that's the way we like it).If this sounds good for you, don't miss at all costs! Turn off Your brain and laugh yourself silly.
west_region901 bloody mad movie ay, def inly in my top 10 favorite movies rent it if you like stupid humor and a mad f@kn movie probably the funniest movie i have seen i wish they would make a sequel!!!!!! i have seen it like 20 times ay, and its still funny mad jokes and sh!t, good one son.....definitely worth a look ay, seriously if u rent it and don't like it, i will give you a full refund. thats how confident i am that you will like it, and see it another 20 times before it stops becoming funny. the jokes are pretty silly but never get old. it is the worlds most underrated movie, because it is f@kn good, i wish it were more well known, and had recognition and a push for them to bring out a sequel. hats off 2 Ritchie and Eddie, the worlds funniest c@nts.
bajan13k This was a very enjoyable hour and a half or so. I watched it just because I was testing out the TV reception in my new-to-me room, and it was on as the "late night show" or whatever they put on just before scheduled broadcasting for the day ends.Anyhow, the show was really crude, and reminded me of why I liked British humor. I won't spoil it but I will explain why I gave it 8/10: first off, it is comedy, and comedy should make me laugh. This definitely did! The humor is definitely of an adult nature, and crude, but that's apparently the style of the "Bottom" series, but I can't be sure as this is the first and only I've watched. The reason took off two points, though: it isn't perfect. Production values aren't horrible but they're not top-notch either. More relevantly, there's nothing in the presentation that made me go "wow". However, I wasn't expecting it to, it was a comedy! Finally, the beginning of the show was, in my opinion, paced too slowly and abruptly. It should have given a more solid sense of the hotel/guest house and its context, rather than leaving contextual facts to be introduced only moments before they are used in a gag.... but that's just my picky opinion. As a comedy, this is definitely something I'd want to buy and own.
missmarmite I had seen Rik Mayall in Blackadder and the New Statesman, so I thought I'd give this film a try.At around 4 pm I bought it, at around 8pm I started to watch, at around 8.15pm I fast forwarded the remaining film to see if there was anything left watchable for a human being with a brain... but there wasn't. At around 8.45pm I threw the DVD into the dustbin. And that's where this "film" belongs. What ever happened to British humour? The humour so fine and witty, intelligent and artful that you find in Yes, Minister, Blackadder, Vicar of Dibley, Fawlty Towers or The Fast Show? The black humour Britain is so famous for? I don't want to insult anybody, but I presume even stupid children wouldn't find this funny. They deserve more intelligent fun. And Rik Mayall, you can do better, so please, do!
