Catangro After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

arfdawg-1 The concept seemed col and the film's start was compelling, but about 30 minutes into it the film gets really really schizophrenic and is hard to care any more. Too bad. Acting was good but the directing or the script or both is thin..

kylebbridston Gerald's Game is a wonderful film with the actual kind of terror that makes you feel like there is someone in the room with you. It has the graphic elements that disturb you, along with the cinematic elements that disturb you. It builds up using incredible directing, cinematography and acting that makes it intriguing until the end. It makes you wonder what is actually there, and what is in the character's mind. You are trying figure out if anything happened at all, or if it was imagined. You wonder if she escaped. It can only be discovered in the final scene, and even then, you must decide whether or not she mentally escaped or not.

arconner People keep saying it was too long for its own good, but honestly a lot of her sitting there and trying to figure out what to do is what makes it suspenseful enough to keep you going. Overall, wonderful adaptation. I loved it

aana-91 Don't waste your time. I tried my best to find it interesting since the writer is KING but it was horrible. Save your time.
