Onlinewsma Absolutely Brilliant!
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Matylda Swan It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Paul Magne Haakonsen While the storyline told in this movie was rather predictable and very straight forward, actually to the point of being generic, then it still turned out to be a rather entertaining movie. And that was because of the characters in the movie, because they were nicely fleshed out, and they had cast some very nice actors and actresses for perform the various roles and characters in the movie. and there was a good on-screen chemistry between them.It was especially nice to see Tim Allen in a role such as the one he had in this movie, because he nailed it with his performance. This was a nice surprise of a movie, because I had no expectations to it when I happened to come across it on Netflix, definitely worth a watch. If you enjoy offbeat movies then "El Camino Christmas" is a movie for you, no doubt about it.
Michael Ledo Luke Grimes goes to El Camino to search for a father he never knew. He finds Tim Allen, the town drunk and a bunch of Barney Fifies who mistake him for a drug runner. The beginning has a shoot-out teaser, then goes 39 hours earlier because the producer thought the production needed to install a plot spoiler. Good acting, drama, light comedy, a feel good moment, but overall the writing wasn't that tight. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
kikoleilani With a cast this good it's nearly impossible to flop, but El Camino Christmas managed to do so. I am a huge fan of the three most seasoned actors D'Onofrio, Smith, and Allen and the newer stars Alba, Shephard, and Grimes are well known names. I can't imagine any of then is hurting for roles enough to sign on for this slow, boring, and depressing movie that has no business trying to pass itself off as some kind of heartwarming Christmas story. Spoiler alert: Both the good guy and the bad guy (also the two best actors in the film) die; and really, any redeeming qualities of the movie die with them.It feels like plot directions were chosen with the flip of a coin and no concern for the storyline or the audience. Worst of all the movie just ends in a ridiculous place and adds on this 18 months later nonsense. I've been watching one Christmas movie per night with my family lately. Stayed up to watch one extra tonight since I can sleep in tomorrow. My mistake!
zooey-sophia A wildly uneven comedy with quite a few phoned in jokes and performances. Nonetheless it is alright and I would say Tim Allen's character and acting are fairly interesting and make the movie, at least, watchable. The film has quite a few stars such as Jessica Alba but really squanders the potential. This isn't a good movie, but it has a few profound moments and you'll get through it.
