Donald Seymour This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

garthlotel This is my favourite Greta Gerwig movie. The humour is wonderfully dark and dry and the story is a unique mix of college frat movie meets musical fantasy meets Clueless meets Heathers. It's hard to describe this film as it doesn't seem to fit any particular genre. But you will love Greta and her friends and you will delight in their quests.

Alice Digsit A feelgood movie which passes the Bechdel Test with flying colours. Not the usual vapid college kid schlock but a warm and gentle antidote to that genre: a bit of fluff with an off-the-wall script of philosophical spoofing, quirky speculation and some rather unconventional - though possibly worth trying - ideas to cure teenage angst and the ills of the world.Grappling with the big ideas of drama, such as sex, suicide, personal worth, dishonesty and human relations, the script seems to somehow superimpose the normally perceived polar opposites of the intellectual and the airhead to offer a perfect harmony of nutty thinking and altruistic intent.

carybalin This is one of the most pretentious and irritating films I've ever seen. There is no plot or story to speak of. It's about four conceited girls, all named after flowers, who want to prevent suicide attempts by such pretentious means as distributing doughnuts and trying to create a dance craze called The Sambola! (exclamation included in the dance title; I told you it was pretentious). Most of the film is taken up by the incessant talking of the characters, particularly the lead player played by Greta Gerwig, who is a poor man's Chloe Sevigny. The characters speak in an excessively eloquent and elaborate manner, and are ridiculously open about sharing their feelings. Gerwig's character actually thanks her roommate for chastising her, and she is sincere about this. The whole film is as dull and monotone as the speaking voice of the lead actress, Greta Gerwig. It is incredibly pointless and painfully irritating. The girls are all named after flowers, the men are either eloquently well spoken or painfully "doofi" (totally pretentious, I told you).

museumofdave I found this perfectly gauged trifle a delight, a deadpan satire which deliberately keeps its targets muted, the four main characters not unlike something one might find in an 18th Century drawing room, chatting about inconsequentials, but in their own way attempting to drag some significance from a trivial life. How refreshing to see a film with young twenty-somethings not having to express themselves with solely with four-letter words or the dreaded "awesome" because they lack imagination; these folks actually have vocabularies! While no masterpiece by any means, this is a gentle look at maturation, a lightly barbed look at young women that keeps its claws drawn in
