AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
hitoyou-63842 This movie is good for just sitting home and having something to watch. It kept my kids attention. The cast is actually fairly well known, I was surprised to see. Spoiler alert!...the movie says the sack was made from material from Jesus' swaddling clothes . I am not sure how I feel on this one. Although , there was a real st Nick ( factual in history) and a real Jesus ( factual in history) , I am not sure where that connection was from. Anyway, my kids enjoyed the movie and we talk about everything they watch so ... Worth a watch if looking for something to see one night on Netflix. But one more thing you need to like ( spoiler I guess ?) You need to like singing. There is a lot of singing.
dipsy-lee54 Now people who follow my comments on IMDb will know that I can be quite harsh and very honest, but without people like me, thousands of hours of time on this planet would be wasted staring vacantly at the television screen. I sat through this film in tears. Not because I was moved by the story or had my heart strings pulled by the music.. because 1 million dollars were scribbled on, burnt and ripped to shreds to make this animated car crash. What was the million dollars spent on? WHO KNOWS! It's completely mysterious at first where the budget went.. The music was awful - it sounded like it was the demo song from a budget synthesizer. Even my cat was terrified by the quality of the music. The worst part is the narration, by the grey haired guy who plagues our airways at night.. jay Leno. It was just the icing on the cake. The film was dreadful and I hope it will never find it's way back onto my TV in the next 100 years. The only good thing was when it finished.
dodgercodger I too found this movie via Redbox. As others have said, it certainly has its moments, but there are some major disappointments. Some funny moments, granted. The kids seemed to enjoy it.The ubiquitous happy-go-lucky elf giving his all. An overweight and flatulent Dasher trying to relive his glory days (nights?)The songs -- DULL.DULL.DULL. (Did I mention DULL?) What's with the magical winter-active caterpillar? The Evil Stepmother taken to a new level -- a real Dickensian witch with Paris Hilton's chihuahua. NO Christmas for 30+ years? And the confusing link between Santa's Magic Sack and the Christ Child... over-the-top doesn't say enough. Finally, IMHO, this would be a prime feature for a Christmas-themed MST3K...
MikeAxe We all grew up watching the classic animated Christmas movies we all know and love. Though these are timeless, it's been disappointing to see that, over the years, less and less legitimate, worthy animated Christmas movies are coming out. Watching "Christmas is Here Again" completely restored my faith in this nostalgic genre. The voice acting by both seasoned and rookie actors and actresses is superior. Madison Davenport is surely going to be the next huge young female actress. Robert Zappia (writer/director) does an unbelievable job creating a compelling, wholesome, fun, hilarious animated Christmas movie that'll be in my library for a very long time. The music is great, the characters are lovable, the story is inspirational and original.Go buy this movie and make it a holiday tradition in your family. I know my family will be watching this for years to come!
