Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
bikelvrgirl This is a great movie if you're looking for something slower paced, with nothing intense. The whole thing is very funny, and a sweet, lighthearted, romantic comedy. Acting was great, plot was good, a movie that doesn't throw you for any loops or catch you by surprise but is very easy to watch. Great for date night or fun night with girlfriends.
nikkimay_222 Whilst this movie is in the genre I enjoy this movie was actually one that bored me, the plot was great well the idea of it was if had all the emotion your expecting and the scenery was great as well as the characters playing their parts relatively well although some emotions were slightly underwhelming and unbelievable. This fell flat for me really because of the amount of twists and turns there were within the story, I get they do it for drama and excitement but actually half of the twist and turns weren't even relevant but meh this film left me feeling underwhelmed I'm grateful I didn't set my hopes too high :) not a waste of time no but not a film I'd actively choose to watch again.
callanvass I've gotten used to Jennifer Garner carrying mediocre movies on her back. I was not surprised that she did it again here. It's not that this movie is bad, it just feels very uninspired, and I was left feeling very cold after it was over. For a woman going through such a traumatic ordeal, you'd think most of the characters would be likable. That is far from the case with this movie. The relationships in this movie are done so haphazardly that it's hard to care for their fates. The main love story here is Jennifer Garner & Timothy Olyphant. It's one of the laziest written love stories I've ever seen. We're supposed to believe these two are falling for each other? Two pots of wilted flowers could have more love. It also has very poor comedic relief from the annoying Kevin Smith. This guy can be a talented director, but he plays a fat slob here, and I don't think that's stretching it too much for him. Jennifer Garner is cute, and very solid in the lead role, which isn't a surprise. She comes across a bit cold at times, but she's winning for the most part. Timothy Olyphant is OK as the love interest, but he just felt there to me. He shows off a smug grin, and tries to be all charming to no avail. Juliette Lewis is fine in her role. I don't really have anything left to say about this movie. It's never boring, but the half-assed relationships, and the lack of romance really hinders this one5/10
MartianOctocretr5 Film is a schizophrenic hodge-podge of elements from chick flick sentimentality and a frat beer drinking party sideshow. The attempt to mix the two is handled with little cohesion, and never seals the deal for either audience (and certainly falls short of appealing to both, which is what it seems to want). We meet a grieving woman (Jennifer Garner) who was engaged, but her fiancé dies just before the wedding. That would seem to be an emotional story of healing and moving on, right? Wrong. At the funeral, we meet his idiot friends (Kevin Smith and two other jokers, all who turn in rotten performances). What one of them is doing at the funeral home is appalling; to put it bluntly, the guy is a jerk. OK, so it's supposed to be a sophomoric comedy? Wrong again.Grit your teeth, there's still more clichéd characters coming. Enter the blonde bimbo, and her weird kid. A lot of the plot revolves around these two. She mumbles about yoga; the kid just stands around robotically throwing CD's on the floor. Real cute; I wanted to throw a ten ton crate of CD's on his head. Anyway, these two have a secret that drives the plot along. Presence of kid = suspicion. If you catch my drift.People do stuff that doesn't add up. There's a romance that has as much chemistry as two patches of dead seaweed. The attraction makes no sense, either, in light of earlier events in the story. Most characters suddenly change in odd ways, rather than evolve logically. Random sight gags evoke no laughs. The kid continues to be obnoxious.Nobody in the cast except for Garner makes any effort; they just don't seem to care. Even Ben-Jen's work here is not quite up to par, in light of her proved potential in other roles. The ending is ridiculous (and about as likely as the odds of winning a 50 million dollar lottery). It's like somebody tagged it on, because they didn't know how to close out the thing. The movie never does figure out which genre(s) it wants to be, either.
